The TurboFlame 'Stick' lighter has a jet flame that burns under pressure with an audible roar and always points 'in a straight line', which means that it can be used in any direction. If the lighter is pointed downwards, the flame will point downwards and burn upside down. If the lighter is held in a horizontal position, the flame will burn at right angles. Like a blowtorch or welding torch, it goes exactly where it's pointed and can be precisely aimed to heat or burn any small area onto which the flame can be directed.

With many emergency uses and practical applications, the 1300ºC flame can be used to wax skis, seal micro-cracks, fuse wires, and can be relied on in windy conditions and for many outdoor uses that would defeat ordinary lighters.
